Notes:
One of the first motifs I've made for this Challenge - although I can't remember which one was definitely the first one. I always like adding white (or a very light shade of crème) to the colors I've picked. Here I've used three different colors + white, in the book the motif is two-colored (red and green). This is a very easy and pretty motif, with lots of front post stitches. Because of those stitches, the motif curled a bit to the front (the author mentions that in the book as well) - it's not really a problem, because I'm blocking all the motifs, so it's nice and flat now. I like it a lot!

I love this one Barbara.. and like you, I do love a little flash of something zingy in a motif. This is very similar to the 'Sunny Spread' square (Ravelry), but without the squaring off :)x
ReplyDeleteAlle Squares Motive, bisher, sehen super aus.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße,*Manja*
This is a beautiful first motif. I like the color combination you chose; it is so cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for organizing this challenge. I am having lots of fun. And we will inspire each other in our way through the book.
I already set up a special page for the motifs Challenge in my blog. It will be exciting to see it filling up.
And I love how you set up the shared gallery. Great idea to set it up in groups. Looking forward to see the versions of others.
Greetings,

I like this one. I'm working on a baby blanket right now that's very, very similar. :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that the white adds a nice touch to the other colors. I tend to do the opposite - adding black to my colors. :)
ReplyDeleteSchöne Farben! Gefällt mir gut! Hab am Samstag das Buch bestellt! :) Mal sehen wann es kommt.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße! Barbina
