I saved the best for last... from the first time I've flipped through this book, this one was my favorite and I knew that I wanted to finish the Challenge with it, be it 100 or 144. It's very elaborate, each of the eight little flowers is made separately and joined to the previous flower, that means there are lots of ends to weave in - and twice as much, when you make the flowers in two colors, like I did (other than in the book, where the motif is plain green).

I really hope you've enjoyed this year's journey through a fabulous book. And now it's time for one last Celebration Post...

A wiggly-style circle! How perfect for today, because I had lots of clicks on my Wiggly-Tutorial in the past few hours - thanks to The Creative Crochet Crew, a Facebook-Community that I've been following for a while now myself. They always find the cutest crochet-stuff in the world wide web, and I feel kind of honored, that I've discovered my own wiggly cushion there today :)

Yes, that's a nice one! The "bobbles" are dc5-togs (no popcorns) and in the following round you work spike-dc's, which create an interesting effect. Unfortunately, my motif ruffled a bit in the last rounds, but blocking helped a little.

This one is cool, unique and one of my favorites. It features three rounds of folding sc's, those tricky stitches I've first tried when making Motif # 80. This time I felt more comfortable with the folding sc's, probably because in a circle motif you don't have corners where you can mess it up :)

This one is made with double treble crochet stitches (dtr), i.e. with yarn over three times. This stitch is explained in almost any crochet book I've ever seen, and I always wondered what to use this huge stitch for. Now I know :)

Another lovely circle motif. I've made the first three rounds with the same color, just like in the book (in the book they use green), but now I wonder how this motif might look if you change colors after each round? I might give it a try one day. By the way: I love those dc3tog stitches that are used in this motif again (the last pink round)!

I like the "open" style of this one. It's made with lots of dc-3-clusters, somehow they remind me of little leaves. Maybe Edie Eckman thought the same, because in the book the second and third round are worked with green yarn (the center and the border are dark orange).

Today's the start of a new series of motifs. The first motifs I made were those I fell in love with at first glance. After that I've changed my strategy: I flipped through the five chapters, and of each chapter I took the first motifs, that I haven't made until now. Like this one, motif #2. It's pretty, isn't it? I think I like this strategy, because I've discovered that I often like those motifs better than the motifs of my first series (maybe my expectations are not that high, who knows?)
